The Great Command Meant Anthology

Love your neighbor as yourself

We the People, in order to form a more perfect Union…

Go to your room!

Live long and prosper.

Since time immemoriam, commands have been at the bedrock of society. Words that transcend ideas, and become the motivation to action. But what is the essence of a command? What does it mean? What could it mean? What should it mean?

My name is Jack Holder, and I am the creator and editor of The Great Command Meant. A sequel to our first anthology, I set forth a challenge for creators. Find those commands they have seen in society, and try to explain them. Challenge them. Fulfill them.

Would you rewrite the Preamble to the Constitution? Or the Bill of Rights? The Ten Commandments or Ninety-Five Theses? Or would you more fully explore what commands have meant in your life, and how they help create a world filled with wonder?
